Diablo 5 Officially Confirms 2029 Release With New Timeline on 30th Anniversary
The new mainline entry takes place after Diablo has won and Sanctuary has fallen, with Blizzard saying it is targeting a Spring 2029 release.
Blizzard Entertainment announced Diablo V is in development at Xbox's Blizzard Entertainment during Saturday's opening ceremony for fan festival BlizzCon at the Anaheim Convention Center, targeting a Spring 2029 release.
Diablo V will be set a century after Diablo IV, taking place in a world where Sanctuary has fallen. According to the game's description, "For the first time, players will enter a Sanctuary where Diablo has triumphed and its heroes have been defeated."
