Anna van der Breggen has won the penultimate stage of the Vuelta Femenina and taken over the red leader's jersey from her Belgian teammate Lotte Kopecky.
Anna van der Breggen is the winner of the short (106 km) but extremely demanding 6th stage of the women's Tour of Spain, which ended with a steep climb to Les Praeres. With an outstanding performance, the Dutch cyclist also took the overall lead before the final stage.

Lotte Kopecky (30) has lost her red leader's jersey in the Vuelta Femenina. In a mountain stage of 107 kilometers with a grueling final climb of up to 25 percent, it was a day for the general classification women. Her teammate Anna van der Breggen (36) proved to be the best on that final climb and thus takes over the red leader's jersey. Kopecky remains the leader in the points classification.
