- Arms Control Association director Kelsey Davenport warned that enriching to 20% 'poses a more significant risk because enriching to that level constitutes the majority of work necessary to enrich to weapons-grade levels, or 90%.'
- Republican Sens. John Kennedy and Rand Paul called for the White House to declassify 'side letters,' yet passage of the resolution remains unlikely in the Republican-controlled Congress.
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended the deal in July, arguing Saudi Arabia could have turned to China or Russia had the U.S. not signed, stating 'we're not the only show in town.
