On Monday, Puerto Rico’s Luis Muñoz Marin Airport asked passengers to arrive at least four hours in advance of their flight departure, in the face of a “temporary” shortage of personnel and an increase in the waiting time for security checks. The drop in workers is due to the closure of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees the TSA.
