'Death Stranding Isolations' Teaser Introduces Disney+ Anime Series
The hand-drawn series follows a new cast in a post-cataclysmic North America and streams exclusively on Disney+ in 2027.
- On Friday, October 30, 2026, Kojima Productions released the first teaser trailer for 'Death Stranding Isolations,' a new animated series scheduled to stream exclusively on Disney+ in 2027.
- The original story takes place in North America immediately after Sam Porter Bridges reconnected the continent through the Chiral Network, featuring an original ensemble rather than the game's protagonists.
- Industry veteran Takayuki Sano directs the series at E&H Production, with screenplay by Tow Ubukata and character designs by Ilya Kuvshinov. Hideo Kojima serves as executive producer.
- The Death Stranding franchise, which surpassed 27 million players as of June 2026, is expanding into other media. Projects include a live-action A24 film and the animated feature 'Death Stranding Mosquito.'
- By utilizing hand-drawn animation, the studio explores familiar themes from a new perspective in the fractured world. The 2027 Disney+ premiere provides both longtime fans and newcomers an entry point into the universe.
