Algerian actress Baya Bouzar, known as Biyouna, a figure in Algerian cinema who shot several films in France, died.
Known in Algeria as well as in France, the actress, singer and dancer, who defied obscurantism, is dead this Tuesday, November 25.
Algerian actress had filmed in several films in France, including the sequel to "Neuilly his mother!", but also "Le Flic de Belleville" and "Les Trois Frères : Le Retour".
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune expressed "his sadness after the loss of one of the celebrities of the cultural scene", welcoming Biyouna's contribution to Algerian cinema.
A complete artist, Biyouna was illustrated in turn as a dancer, singer, and television actress, before continuing her career in the cinema. Her last appearance was in the French film "Le Flic de Belleville (2018)", where she embodied the mother of Omar Sy.
