From July 1, 2027, Grolsch will no longer be served at De Vijverberg stadium in Doetinchem, but rather Heineken. For many supporters, this is a slap in the face, given Grolsch's ties to the Achterhoek region. Some, however, will heave a sigh of relief.
A painful break with the past at De Graafschap: the club of the Superboeren is stopping with Grolsch and switching to Heineken. The commercial director confirmed this. "De Graafschap is Grolsch's hometown, but we couldn't refuse this." The change takes effect on July 1, 2027. The supporters' association has also responded: "It will take some getting used to."
