- Beyond patrols, National Guard members packed 6,030 pounds of food, painted 270 feet of fence and pruned 65 trees before winter halted community beautification work.
- The deployment's legal status remains in limbo after a federal judge ordered an end in November but an appeals court overturned it, while National Guard leaders warned readiness has decreased and MPD manpower has been reduced.
