Celebrated with the Sleeping Mother of the Lord, this day highlights Romania's historical and strategic connection with the Black Sea and the Danube.
Today is Holy Mary the Great and still today we celebrate Mary's Day. This year, the show will be not only on the sea but also in the air. Above the coast will be able to admire military planes and helicopters, but also civil aircraft.
The event will be marked in six cities: Constanta, Mangalia, Brăila, Tulcea, Galați and Bucharest.
Thousands of tourists and constantians are expected on Saturday on the Constance Pass for the events dedicated to the Romanian Navy Day. Events start at 10.00 a.m. and will include ceremonies, marine games and a wide military exercise carried out both in the sea and in the coastal area.
