DAVE GROHL Joins AC/DC On Stage For 'Highway To Hell' Performance At MetLife Stadium
Dave Grohl joined AC/DC for a surprise guest spot after Foo Fighters filled in as the support act on the rescheduled final tour date.
On Friday, Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl joined AC/DC at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, performing "Highway To Hell" during the Power Up Tour finale on October 2.
A nor'easter storm forced the rescheduling of the New Jersey performance from September 25 to October 2, allowing the tour to conclude at the venue as planned.
Grohl has long cited AC/DC's 1980 concert film "Let There Be Rock" as transformative; he saw it at eleven years old and said, "I wanna do that for the rest of my fucking life."
The Foo Fighters served as tour support after filling in for The Pretty Reckless, having previously opened for AC/DC in St. Louis on September 8th.
"This is literally a dream come true," Grohl said of the collaboration, noting he had spent four decades wanting to live up to AC/DC's "awe inspiring fury.
The giant rock band wrapped up their extensive Power Up Tour at a giant stadium in New Jersey on Friday, and the future is uncertain for the aging icons.
