Dark Matter names Salvatore Piccola and Gil Valera to product strategy, professional services leadership roles
The hires support AI-driven product innovation and customer adoption as the company expands leadership across product strategy and professional services.
On Thursday, Dark Matter Technologies announced the appointment of Salvatore Piccola as senior vice president of product strategy and Gil Valera as vice president of professional services, both reporting to Chief Product Officer Stephanie Durflinger.
Dark Matter CEO Vikas Rao said the additions support the company's focus on artificial intelligence and automation in mortgage lending, stating "Automation and AI are changing the game for our industry."
Piccola brings nearly 24 years of experience from PNC, where he directed business innovation validation for home lending and held leadership roles spanning mortgage operations, loan closing, and technology systems.
With 13 years of professional services leadership, Valera previously led presales, consulting, training and customer success functions at ICE Mortgage Technology, following roles at Infor, MicroStrategy and SAP BusinessObjects.
This combined expertise positions Dark Matter to advance product strategy while strengthening customer adoption, as Rao stated, "Adding both of them makes us stronger where it matters.
