‘Dangerously high levels’ of E. coli found in Chattahoochee River, environmental group says

Environmental group Chattahoochee Riverkeeper says it detected high levels of E. coli downstream from an Atlanta wastewater treatment plant. The group said the bacteria was detected immediately downstream from the Marietta Boulevard/Atlanta Road bridge in northwest Atlanta. A spokesperson from the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management said in a statement that there has not been a sewer spill.
