Damien Rice Announces O 25th Anniversary Tour – Including Two Dublin Shows
The tour begins in Australia and spans Asia, Europe, South America and North America, with presale tickets available next week.
- Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice announced a '25 Years, 25 Cities' tour for 2027, marking the 25th anniversary of his debut album, O, with two Dublin dates at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on March 21 and 22, 2027.
- Originally released in 2002, O was a DIY project funded by a loan from Rice's father, winning the Shortlist Prize for Artistic Achievement and later reaching Gold certification in the U.S. with 650,000 sales.
- The album's confessional songwriting and stripped-back sound influenced a generation of artists, including Ed Sheeran, while Rice scored hit singles with 'The Blower's Daughter,' 'Cannonball,' and 'Delicate.'
- Fans can register for pre-sale access starting Wednesday, October 21, before the Bord Gais Energy pre-sale on Thursday, October 22, and general sale on Friday, October 23 at 10 a.m.
- The global tour kicks off in Australia this February, continuing through Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom, South America, and North America, as promoters noted the songs have "never stopped travelling" with the 53-year-old Dubliner.
