Hasbro Names Third Wizards of the Coast President in Under 5 Years
Dan Ayoub will oversee Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons after nearly two months without a president, Hasbro said.
On Tuesday, October 27, Hasbro announced Dan Ayoub as the new president of Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro Digital Games, effective November 2, ending a two-month leadership search.
Former president John Hight moved to an advisory role in early September, prompting Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks to assume temporary oversight during the search for a new leader.
Ayoub joined the firm in 2022 as senior vice president of D&D and Digital Games; before that, he served as an executive producer and studio head at 343 Industries.
Wizards is developing titles like Warlock and Exodus, a sci-fi RPG slated for release on April 7, 2027, while Hasbro also plans to eventually produce a Baldur's Gate 4.
Regarding his new position, Ayoub said, "Magic and D&D have been part of my life," emphasizing commitment to growth across tabletop and digital platforms.
