The recent tightening of US customs rules since Donald Trump pushes the French group to suspend the shipment of certain parcels to the United States.
On Friday 22 August, the Post Office announced the suspension of parcel shipments to the United States. So far, small parcels have been granted a customs exemption until 29 August.
Goods entering the United States will be subject to customs duties from the first euro as of 29 August. The French postal operator therefore prefers to suspend any shipment.
Due to uncertainties in a new Trump decree, the post office will no longer send parcels to the United States via the classic route - but there is an alternative.
