Deregulation, reduced bureaucracy, faster fuel excise tax refunds, and support for local producers – the Law and Justice party (PiS) has presented its first proposals for a program for rural Poland. The party promises to implement them immediately upon assuming power, something its president says it is already prepared to do.
Law and Justice wants to restore the strength of Polish agriculture. Proposals for changes affecting rural Poland were presented during the "Polish Village, Polish Plan" program convention in Zdania near Radomsko.
On Saturday, at a farm in Zdanie, near Radomsko, Law and Justice held the first of a series of conventions, where the party is expected to present its platform before next year's parliamentary elections. The main theme of the meeting, entitled "Polish Village, Polish Plan," was agriculture.
PiS presented proposals for farmers during Saturday's convention.
During a convention dedicated to the Polish countryside, the Law and Justice party's candidate for prime minister, Professor Przemysław Czarnek, announced that one of the first initiatives of the government he intends to lead will be a major deregulation of agriculture.
