A cultural manager and an important figure behind the scenes of film festivals, Lili Hinstin died at the age of 48, it was reported on Tuesday. She had directed the 2019 and 2020 editions of the Locarno Film Festival.
She was artistic director of Cinema du Réel, the Festival de Locarno and, more recently, of Nouvelles Vagues in Biarritz at the age of 48. "Lili was a rare voice.
