Argonaut’s Reptilian Revival Continues With ‘Croc 2: Kingdom Of The Gobbos’
Argonaut Games says the remaster will add the Croc2pedia archive and launch on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC after the first remaster sold well.
- On Thursday, July 30, 2026, Argonaut Games opened wishlists for the Croc 2 remaster, scheduled for Q4 2026 release on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Steam, and GOG.
- Following the successful October 2025 release of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster, Argonaut Games co-CEO Mike Arkin said the sequel followed naturally; sales exceeded the company's expectations.
- "Croc 2 was always the plan, once we saw how fans embraced the first remaster," said Argonaut founder Jez San OBE, calling it "the next chapter in Croc's story."
- The remaster will feature the "Croc2pedia," an in-game digital museum containing previously unseen development materials and design documents tracing production from concept to completion.
- Development presented unique challenges because the original was built on a different engine; the sequel, which allegedly used the "Kingdom of the Gobbos" subtitle during early development, receives a modern visual update.
