'Critical risk' of EEE transmission prompts Mass. town to limit outside activities

The hospitalization of an Oxford resident who tested positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitis, or EEE, has prompted the town’s Board of Health to issue an outdoor curfew. The Board of Health approved the curfew at a meeting on Wednesday night and in support of a public health advisory issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Oxford’s Director of Public Health Services Rike Sterrett told MassLive.
