Just in time for next month’s new football season, Washington State University is currently laying Gesa Field with fresh turf. Unlike past resurfacings, however, the retired turf won’t be out of commission for good.

Cougar football swaps its sidelines at Gesa Field

The visiting sideline will now be directly in front of the Cougar student section, and the WSU sideline will flip to the other side of the field, WSU athletics announced earlier this week. Prior to this move, WSU students had their Cougs just a few feet away. Now, they will look across the field to see the Crimson and Gray on the other sideline.
