'Seeker' - Jessica Rothe and Cooper Tomlinson Starring in Horror Movie From Director Adam Rehmeier
The fully financed mystery-thriller is being shopped at AFM, with production lined up for January 2027 and a May 2027 release planned.
- Hammerstone Studios and Script 2 Screen are financing mystery-thriller Seeker, directed by Adam Rehmeier and starring Cooper Tomlinson, Jessica Rothe, and Mika Abdalla.
- The film follows Grant, a ride-share driver played by Tomlinson, haunted by his fiancée Caroline's unexplained disappearance five years earlier, until he picks up a passenger he suspects caused it.
- Production begins in January 2027 in Washington State, with Alex Lebovici and Michael Learner producing for Hammerstone alongside HyperObject Industries' Adam McKay and Todd Schulman, and Arkhum Productions' Noah Centineo and Enzo Marc.
- Rehmeier said the script is "dark, twisted, funny, terrifying; a perfect mash-up of genres." McKay added the team "turn into 16-year-old film nerds" when genuinely surprised by material.
- No release date has been announced, though the project is positioned as one of the hotter genre entries on sale at next week's AFM. Samuel Hall and Warren Goz will executive-produce.
