Cooper Standard Highlights Continued Strong New Business Awards in the Third Quarter of 2026
The auto parts supplier posted $148.8 million in new business awards, but higher commodity and inflation costs cut adjusted EBITDA guidance to $235 million-$245 million.
On November 4, 2026, Northville, Mich.-based Cooper-Standard Holdings Inc reported a third-quarter net loss of $20.4 million, or $1.13 per share, despite sales rising 1.9% to $708.6 million.
Global light vehicle production volumes declined 2.3% during the quarter, while inflation and higher commodity costs strained performance despite management efforts to accelerate cost recoveries with customers.
During the third quarter, Cooper-Standard secured net new business awards totaling $148.8 million, bringing the nine-month total to $395.1 million, including $96.6 million for battery electric or full-hybrid platforms.
Citing higher commodity costs and inflation, Cooper-Standard adjusted its full-year 2026 guidance to sales of $2.75–$2.85 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $235–$245 million from prior guidance of $265–$295 million.
"We are continuing to leverage our strong customer relationships to book new business awards at a record pace," said Jeffrey Edwards, chairman and CEO, Cooper-Standard, expecting actions will de-risk the business long-term.
