Consumers will spend an average of £304 treating themselves this Black Friday
A poll of 2,000 adults found 35% plan to buy for themselves, and millennials expect to spend the most on treats.
A Samsung study found 35 per cent of Black Friday shoppers plan to buy items for themselves rather than Christmas gifts, prioritizing personal rewards over gift-giving.
To fund these purchases, shoppers are cutting back on daily expenses like eating out, with 25 per cent reducing spending while 21 per cent plan acquisitions up to three months in advance.
More than four in 10 shoppers have waited patiently for the event to buy something they really want, with 43 per cent valuing brand trust and performance when deciding to make larger purchases.
Samsung spokesperson Zeena Hill noted, "Finding a good deal provides the tipping point, but the real motivation is buying better," as 32 per cent of shoppers feel they deserve a reward.
Millennials are expected to spend the most on self-treats at £386.34 when Samsung's deals launch on November 4th, signaling a generational shift toward long-term value over lowest prices.
