Constable clashes with county judge over pay, duties
A Lampasas County constable says commissioners are not treating his office with respect, though the county judge said he feels differently. Precinct 1 Constable Bob Montgomery was appointed in March 2022 and is one of two constables serving the county, along with Precinct 4 Constable Charles “Chuck” Clayton, who was elected in 2024.
