MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ with Intel Arc G3 Extreme Inside Revealed at Computex 2026
At Computex 2026, MSI announced the Claw 8 EX AI+, billing the device as the "world's first gaming handheld" powered by the Intel Arc G3 processor with an 8-inch 120Hz display and 32GB of memory.
Integrating Intel's Arc G3 chip, the handheld uses the B390 die with 12 Xe cores to boost performance, while MSI redesigned the chassis with controller-like grips and Hall Effect sticks inspired by the Asus ROG Ally X.
MSI added haptic motors designed to simulate "tactical textures" similar to the PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller, and the device supports Xbox Mode, offering gamepad-friendly Windows 11 with quick resume functionality.
While MSI has not confirmed a final price, the configuration displayed at its event carries a $1,500 price tag, positioning the device at the premium end of the market compared to previous models launched around $800.
The Claw 8 EX AI+ faces competition from other Intel-based handhelds unveiled at Computex, including the Acer Predator Atlas 8 and the OneXPlayer 3, with MSI reportedly aiming for a June 23 release.
