Commuters subsidising tax breaks for wealthy Kooyong EV drivers: McKenzie
Coalition transport spokeswoman Bridget McKenzie has left the door open to a road user charge, saying those can afford to buy an EV should pay their way.

AEVA has once again insisted that any road user charge (RUC) which might be implemented is universal and mass-multiplied. A RUC which singles out EVs would risk holding back EV adoption in Australia, and further complicate efforts to reform the way roads and their upkeep are funded. A press release can be found here.
