Committee on Gender Equality Will Have a Record Budget of EUR 22.9 Million

The Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) will have in 2027 the largest budget ever, of 22.93 million euros, highlighted today the Minister of Culture, in order to strengthen the fight against gender violence. According to Margarida Balseiro Lopes, who is being heard in the Parliament, in speciality, on the State budget for 2027 (OE2027), the budget of the IGC will have an increase of "about 235%".
