VILLACH. On the occasion of the anniversary of the terrorist attack in Villach, in which a 14-year-old youth died and five persons were injured in some cases for life, a memorial Mass took place on Sunday evening.
On February 15th, for the first time, the deadly terrorist attack was launched by a 23-year-old Syrian. A youth was killed, and five more people were injured, partly life-threatening.
A year ago, a Syrian carried out a terrorist attack in Villach, a 14-year-old is dead. Political consequences followed with mass checks by asylum seekers.
The terrorist attack in Villach, in which a 14-year-old boy was killed and five others were injured, some critically, will mark its first anniversary on Sunday. For this reason, a memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Villach parish church. The ecumenical service will be the only memorial event "at the express request of the parents of the deceased boy, who wish to mourn in silence," the city of Villach stated.
