Colts WR Keenan Allen Ruled Out of London Game because of Groin Injury
The Colts elevated Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and may have as many as seven healthy receivers after Allen was downgraded from questionable.
On Saturday, the Indianapolis Colts ruled out veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to a groin injury.
Allen was limited during Thursday's practice with a new groin injury, then missed Friday's session entirely before the Colts downgraded him Saturday morning.
The team promoted veteran Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad to address the depleted receiving corps, while Alec Pierce remains on injured reserve and Ashton Dulin is questionable for Sunday.
Quarterback Daniel Jones must now rely on Josh Downs as his primary receiver, with tight end Tyler Warren and running back Jonathan Taylor expected to carry the offensive load against Washington.
A loss on Sunday would drop the Colts to 1-3, and the team faces a quick turnaround with a game against Pittsburgh scheduled for Week 5.
