Colorado State women beat Air Force 56-42 to win first Mountain West Championship since 2016

On Tuesday at the Thomas & Mack Center, Colorado State women's basketball beat Air Force 56-42 to win the Mountain West title and secure an NCAA bid.
Playing four games in four days, Air Force reached the final after upsetting top seed San Diego State on Monday to advance to their first-ever title game, while CSU beat UNLV in the other semifinal.
Outscoring Air Force 22-10 in the fourth, Madelyn Bragg went 7 of 8 from the floor and led CSU with 15 points as the Rams closed with a 9-0 run.
CSU will find out when and where it opens the NCAA Tournament on Sunday when brackets are released at 6 p.m., with the selection show set for March 15 6 p.m.
Now 27-7 and winners of nine straight, the CSU Rams won despite missing star Lexus Bargesser after her semifinal injury.
