Colin Jost Reacts After ‘Pop Culture Jeopardy!’ Contestant Praises ‘Wheel of Fortune’
Season 2 moves to Netflix with 20 short episodes and two-person teams as the show returns after the Personality Hires won $300,000.
On the Alex Trebek Stage, Pop Culture Jeopardy host Jost jokingly reacted after a contestant praised Wheel, maintaining friendly relations between the often-dubbed "rival" shows.
In most regions, Jeopardy and Wheel air back-to-back in syndication, leading viewers to dub them "rival" shows despite both being filmed on the Sony lot.
While Jost hosts Pop Culture Jeopardy, Ken Jennings hosts every other version except ESPN Jeopardy; Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White serve as the only hosts for Wheel and Celebrity Wheel.
The game show moves from Prime Video to Netflix, with Season 2 premiering on Monday, May 11, and running weekdays for four weeks until the winner is crowned.
Another change this year reduces team sizes from three to two, with 25-minute episodes continuing the format that saw The Personality Hires win the $300,000 grand prize in March.
