Civil rights groups: North Carolina ruling will allow 56K felony offenders to vote

Summary by Ground News
The Wake County Superior Court ruled Monday morning to allow felons who are still on probation or parole the ability to vote. If the ruling holds, more than 55,000 people who are estimated to have not been previously eligible to vote could register. Advocacy groups and representatives from the NAACP said they hope this means the end of a law that overwhelmingly impacts people of color.
