More than 350 engineers will renew tracks and upgrade power supply at London Waterloo, with no services on Christmas and Boxing Day and reduced timetables Dec 29 to Jan 4.

- Passengers are urged to plan ahead and check before travelling as ticket acceptance on alternative routes is available, but replacement buses will lengthen journeys and trains finish by around 21:00.
- Timetables for revised services will be published from December 23 and details will be available on National Rail Enquiries and South Western Railway websites, with additional post-midnight trains from London Waterloo on New Year's Day early hours services.
