Chinese star Ruoning Yin wins FM Championship at TPC Boston
Ruoning Yin closed with a 2-under 70 and birdied the 18th to win by two strokes, ending a 672-day LPGA Tour title drought.
On Sunday, Ruoning Yin won the FM Championship at TPC Boston, securing her sixth career LPGA Tour victory with a two-stroke lead over Hyo Joo Kim.
This victory marks Yin's first LPGA Tour win in 672 days, ending a drought dating back to the 2024 Maybank Championship. "It's just been so long since my last win," Yin said.
The 23-year-old Chinese player finished at 14-under overall after a final round 2-under 70, birdying the par-5 18th to clinch the trophy on the final hole.
American Allisen Corpuz secured third place at 11-under after a 68, while fellow Solheim Cup player Rose Zhang tied for fourth with Sei Young Kim ahead of the Sept. 11-13 matches in the Netherlands.
European captain Anna Nordqvist played her final LPGA Tour event, finishing in a tie for 38th. "Nothing ever prepares you for this moment," Nordqvist said, as the tour prepares for the upcoming Solheim Cup.
