Child among three killed in Gaza by Israel strikes
Civil defence said 11 people were killed and 50 wounded in the past 24 hours as strikes hit displaced families across Gaza.
On Monday, an Israeli airstrike targeting a camp for displaced people in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis, killed three Palestinians, including seven-year-old Jouri al-Soufi, according to Palestinian Civil Defence spokesman Mahmoud Bassal.
Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis identified the other deceased as Hossam al-Zamli and Tamer Abu Sneima, reporting their bodies were "torn apart by direct hits from shrapnel from the Israeli missile."
Separately, a security source reported that Israeli tanks and a military bulldozer advanced Monday into central Gaza's Deir al-Balah, coinciding with "heavy gunfire by the occupation forces towards the eastern and northern areas."
Israeli quadcopter drones set fire to a camp for displaced people at the Shujayea junction Sunday night, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, forcibly displacing more than 200 families, or over 800 people.
Since the war began on October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has seen at least 74,555 deaths and 175,727 injuries, according to the territory's health ministry, whose figures are considered accurate by the United Nations.
At least three Palestinians were killed this Saturday in drone and artillery attacks. The Israeli Navy also shot at the Gaza coast, where 1.8 million live in precarious conditions while winter comes.
Five people were killed this Wednesday in Israeli attacks in various parts of the Gaza Strip, the emergency services in the Palestinian territory and local hospitals reported.
