CHICOPEE — The Chicopee Fire Department has received some lifesaving equipment upgrades, officials have announced. Through Emergency First Response, a new certification, all six of the department’s fire engines, two aerial fire trucks and two reserve trucks will carry advanced medical equipment to help firefighters address critical injuries on scene, a statement from the city said.
