Charleston City Council to vote on new PODA in East End

Charleston City Council will vote on approving a new outdoor drinking area in the East End, bringing the total to five private outdoor designated areas in the city. An ordinance that was approved in the Rules and Ordinance Committee Thursday night changed some language in the city’s PODA ordinance to reflect changes in state law and created the East End PODA. The ordinance will be voted on by City Council Monday night.
