Changes to Baton Rouge home rule charter will head to November election: See changes here

Summary by Ground News
The Baton Rouge Metro Council moved forward Wednesday with a set of changes to the city-parish's home rule charter. The changes, which the council approved by a vote of 7-2-2 following an hour of discussion, will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot for final approval from East Baton Rouge Parish voters. The new plan of government would create a new executive counsel position for the mayor to seek legal guidance.
