Čeh and Šutej captain Slovenia at the European Team Championships in Maribor

The Slovenian discus thrower will be chasing a world record next year at the infamous American venue.

Maribor will host the European Team Athletics Championships of the second and third quality categories at the end of June. The Slovenian team's goal is to advance among the top 16 teams in Europe.

Kristjan Čeh and Tina Šutej, the best Slovenian athletes of recent times, will be the captains of the national team, which will compete for a place in the first league at the European Team Championship in Maribor. The second division competition, which also includes Slovenia, will take place on June 28 and 29, and the captain was chosen at today's broader meeting of candidates for the competition.
