Carolyn Jelks Jones was born on Feb. 21, 1937 in Lake Charles, La.  She attended public schools in Lake Charles, graduating from Lake Charles High School in 1955.  She attended McNeese State University.  She was active in the Lake Charles Little Theatre under Rosa Hart.  She later moved to New Orleans, where she worked for the Louisiana Tourist Bureau.  She was an avid reader, and loved to draw, paint and write.  She travelled to many places aro…
