TRAVEL IN FRANCE 4/8. In 1775, Greeks from Peloponnese fled the peninsula to find refuge on the island of Beauty. Three and a half centuries later, their descendants perpetuate the heritage and this double culture that the great Greek daily newspaper "I Kathimerini" came to discover in Cargesis, the village with two churches above the Gulf of Sagone.
