Canada’s Auger-Aliassime Drops Out of ATP Top 10, Falls Six Spots to No. 13
The 26-year-old Canadian lost 640 ranking points in Monday’s update after a 37-18 season record.
Montreal's Félix Auger-Aliassime dropped six spots in the latest ATP rankings on Monday, losing 640 points and falling outside the top 10 for the first time in over a year. The 26-year-old Canadian's ranking slide marks a significant setback.
Auger-Aliassime holds a 37-18 record this season and won his lone title in Montpellier, France, in February. He reached the French Open quarterfinals in June, achieving a career-high ranking before this recent decline.
Denis Shapovalov of Richmond Hill, Ont., climbed one spot, while Liam Draxl of Newmarket, Ont., rose 26 places. Montreal's Gabriel Diallo dropped 20 spots in the latest rankings.
Canada's roster for the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna, Italy, from Nov. 24-29 includes Auger-Aliassime. He joins fellow Canadians including Duncan Chan of Markham, Ont., on the team.
Germany's Alexander Zverev moved into the top ranking at the ATP, overtaking Italy's Jannik Sinner. Spain's Carlos Alcaraz remains third in the global standings.
