Only Fools and Horses Star Final Appearance Could Air Four Years After His Death
The film includes more than four hours of unseen footage and could be cut into a two-hour special or two-part series, its director said.
Director Lazar Vukovic is calling for a broadcaster to air Marriage Made in Peckham, the final documentary featuring the late John Challis in his last time on camera.
Challis, who played Boycie, recorded the footage with on-screen wife Sue Holderness just weeks before his death in September 2021, aged 79. The pair reflected on their years on the BBC sitcom.
Vukovic told The Sun, "We wanted to wait for the right moment," citing the 45th anniversary of Only Fools as the ideal time to release the project.
Following the success of The Lost Archive on U+Gold last week, the network explained that the initial run "barely scratched the surface" of unseen footage available from the series.
Vukovic holds more than four hours of material he believes could become a two-hour special or series. The director previously explored the show's cult status in his 2020 documentary, Boycie in Belgrade.
