Mexican Musician, Family Members Slain in Gruesome Shooting at Upscale Penthouse
Authorities say one suspect was an associate of Jonathan Melendez, who may have used that relationship to enter the apartment.

- Neighbors reported hearing shouts and gunshots shortly before midnight Tuesday, and authorities found the couple's 6-year-old son unharmed at the scene on Wednesday.
- The victims were bound with duct tape before being shot; the 3-year-old girl was shot in the head at close range, while two other victims were also shot in the head.
- Investigators arrested two suspects, including an associate of Melendez who may have used his relationship with the musician to gain access to the apartment.
- Melendez was a composer and keyboardist for the Mexican indie rock band Camilo Septimo, which was scheduled to perform in Ciudad Juarez later this month.

The man, a keyboardist of the band, had the shot of grace, just like his wife and the girl. A domestic worker was murdered as well. There are two detainees and one of the main lines of investigation is theft.
A child under 6 years of age was found alive and without physical injury after having managed to hide during the assault.
Jonathan ‘Honas’ Meléndez, a keyboardist for Camilo Seventh, was murdered along with his family in Atizapán de Zaragoza.
