Delays Expected South of Nipomo Due to Scheduled Highway 101 Road Work
NIPOMO, Calif. (KEYT) - Road work is expected to slow down traffic on Highway 101 south of Nipomo for several hours on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026. Caltrans is scheduled to perform guardrail maintenance from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the southbound lanes of the highway between the Tefft Street on-ramp and Highway 166 off-ramp.

Caltrans has announced a daytime closure for Sept. 9 as crews conduct maintenance work on US 101 southbound near Nipomo.The closure will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Tefft Street and State Route 166.Directional signs and messages will be placed outside the work zone to warn drivers approaching the area.According to Caltrans, travelers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
