Orioles Put RHP Kyle Bradish on IL, Likely Ending His Season
Bradish could miss the rest of the season after Baltimore put him on the 15-day injured list with lower abdominal discomfort.
On Sunday, the Baltimore Orioles placed starting pitcher Kyle Bradish on the 15-day injured list with lower abdominal discomfort, potentially sidelining him for the remainder of the season.
Bradish signed a five-year, $90 million contract extension in July and is 7-14 with a 4.12 ERA in 29 starts this season, marking a difficult campaign for the pitcher.
The right-hander has surrendered five earned runs or more in three of his last nine starts and holds a 26-29 career record with a 3.67 ERA over 512 2/3 innings.
In a corresponding roster move, the Orioles recalled right-hander Yaramil Hiraldo from Triple-A Norfolk, who is 1-0 with a 5.87 ERA in seven relief appearances this season.
Previously, Bradish underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2024 and made just six starts last season, raising durability concerns as he attempts another comeback.
