Malatya has not recovered from the earthquake. 120,000 people still live in containers, and 20,000 shopkeepers have not been relocated to permanent jobs. Borrowed shopkeepers are thinking of dirty land. MESOB President Sevket Keskin said, "The state must show its fatherhood, otherwise Malatya cannot stand up."
