Somalia: Somali Cabinet Appoints New Immigration Chief, Approves General Pardon Decree

Mogadishu -- Somalia's Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, approved the appointment of Hussein Qasim Yusuf as the new Director General of the Immigration and Nationality Agency during an extraordinary session on Monday.

The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia, in an extraordinary meeting held today, approved the appointment of Hussein Qasim Yusuf as Director-General of the Immigration and Nationality Agency, following a proposal by the Ministry of Internal Security.

Cabinet Ministers of Somalia have appointed Mr. Hussein Kasim Yusuf as the Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA).

On Monday, the Cabinet Ministers of Somalia’s Federal Government unanimously approved the dismissal of Mr. Mustafe Sheikh Ali Dhuhulow, the Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA). They also appointed a new Director General to replace him.
