KUALA LUMPUR: The helicopter involved in the fatal Flying Doctor Service (FDS) crash in Sarawak had a valid Certificate of Airworthiness until Aug 4, 2027, according to Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) records.
(Kuala Lumpur, 10th) The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) confirmed that the BO-105 helicopter that crashed during an air ambulance service flight in Sarawak, resulting in the deaths of five people, has an airworthiness certificate valid until 2027. CAAM CEO Datuk Nor Azman stated that following the accident, the operator implemented preventative safety measures and immediately grounded all helicopters of the same model.
