MINISTER Butković announced the signing of the largest contract in the history of Croatian Railways, worth 900 million euros, for the reconstruction of the Dugo Selo-Novska railway. The work will be carried out by an Indian company, and the start is planned for 2027.
The railway is located on the west-east route and should increase the efficiency of the corridor connecting Croatia with Serbia and further east.
On Thursday, a historic contract for the reconstruction of the Dugo Selo - Novska railway line was signed in Banski dvori, the total value of which will be 900 million euros, and work should begin next year.
We worked on this project for a long time, prepared it, a public tender was conducted, and now the procedures are completed. Contracts for the execution of works and supervision will be signed in the Government, Butkovic said.
